My journey into filmmaking began after earning my BFA from the Herron School of Art & Design at IUPUI. It was at my brother’s wedding that I first discovered my passion for storytelling through video. As a groomsman, I captured behind-the-scenes moments using my phone, and within a week, I transformed that footage into a heartfelt wedding video. That experience ignited my desire to craft compelling visual stories on a professional level.

Driven by this newfound passion, I interned with the video production department at WFYI Channel 20 in Indianapolis, where I gained a strong foundation in the technical and creative aspects of video production. This hands-on experience launched my career and led me to produce content for higher education at Indiana University.

Today, under the banner of MyrussFilms, I specialize in event coverage and promotional content designed to elevate businesses and brands. I’m committed to bringing unique visions to life with a professional, creative approach.
